Practical example of a workstation with height adjustment

From the field: Height-adjustable workstation for IT-related logistics

In a combined logistics and IT area, the growing requirements for concentrated, standing and sitting work were to be transformed into a functional, ergonomic and stationary workstation solution. The challenge: a well thought-out design that does not require castors, but still offers maximum flexibility in everyday use - both in terms of use and equipment.

Initial situation and objectives

The workstation is mainly used for administrative, IT-supported processes within a logistics department - i.e. where there are interfaces between incoming goods, system control and order processing. The tasks have to be performed both sitting and standing, alternating over several hours. The aim was to create an environment that encourages movement, offers clear structures and at the same time is functionally tailored to the processes - without an oversized technical approach.

The requirements in detail:

  • Electrically height-adjustable, but stationary (without castors)
  • Sufficient work surface for two monitors, keyboard, scanner and IT accessories
  • Ergonomically sensible operation, intuitively organized
  • Robust design without ESD requirements, but suitable for field loads
  • Additional storage options and functional details such as LED light and cup holder
Our solution:
  • Lifting frame with 300 mm adjustment range for convenient switching between sitting and standing work
  • Worktop with modular add-on parts made of durable 10 mm PVC
  • Swivel dual monitor mount for ergonomic adjustment
  • Integrated drawer pull-out for print media
  • Compact LED luminaire for targeted lighting without glare
  • Cup holder and cable management as small but everyday extras
  • Load capacity up to 150 kg, stationary mounting, GVL-compliant mounting

What counts for us:
NeoLog does not create workstations "off the peg". We pay attention to clear lines, comprehensible function and systemic connectivity - both in terms of existing infrastructures and future expansions. Our solutions are developed from what is really needed in everyday life - not from standard catalogs.

We pay attention to:

  • Modularityto enable adjustments at any time
  • Ergonomicsto minimize stress and support processes
  • Structured designthat provides orientation - visually and functionally
  • Ease of assemblyso that conversions do not become a project
  • Choice of materialthat matches its surroundings - robust, easy to clean, durable
